4 Brands Giving Back to Make the World a Better Place All Year Round

I had the pleasure of going to a church camp a few weeks ago with middle school students and it was a great change in perspective to see how much our world still needs love and the kindness of others to keep moving forward. See below for a few pictures of that experience! Being with these girls inspired this post of showcasing brands that use their businesses as platforms to make the world a better place by giving back financially or with their time.
Here are the precious girls that stole my heart during the church camp I got to be apart of this month.
We've all heard that beauty is far beyond skin deep, but have you ever seen or heard of a cosmetic brand telling you that? We love what Thrive Casuemetics is doing to make women going through cancer or domestic violence. For every product you purchase, they donate one to encourage and give hope to a woman thriving through their circumstances. Thrive is a luxury makeup brand with products ranging from gorgeous shades of eye shadows and lipsticks to bronzers and lush lashes.
Remember walking through your favorite department store and seeing that dress that you just had to have? Chances are it's probably at Union & Fifth for far less the price with all the accessories to match! Union & Fifth is a non-profit organization that fundraisers through their online boutique that turns donated designer clothing, shoes and accessories into cash for charities and you can easily be apart of what they're doing by donating here.
Who doesn't love a unique company backed behind an awesome cause? This is a brick and mortar that sells a combo of their own custom screen printed tees and a handful of other product and brands that also have social causes including Tom's shoes, Krochet Kids, & Out of Print Clothing). For every 5 Pound Apparel item they sell they donate 5 pounds of food to Ozarks Food Harvest. A cool thing to mention is that they are constantly bringing in new products from brands that make the world a better place domestically and internationally.
The team here is not only making reading cool again, but also making it stylish by creating tees with the cover art from classic & modern literature the entire family can wear. Each purchase helps to fund literacy programs and book donations to communities in need in the US. Their product offering extends to mugs, jewelry, socks and much more!
