My New Normal

Don’t let me fool you, it’s extremely difficult to create, manufacture, sell and get other people excited about your product. What makes it easier? Instinct and the people you surround yourself with. I made a promise to myself before stepping out to create MAIR; I told myself I would design and create my perfume line as if it were already a brand that could rival Dior, Prada & Burberry. But I didn’t stop there, I also had to work with the best. Which to me meant finding a chemist that already had bestsellers on store shelves and convincing him/her to work with me. The result? Master Perfumer, Frederick Cohen! His resume is multiple pages long and he’s earned award after award for his work on projects with other major labels.
If you haven’t noticed I have a bold personality. Instinct makes you do crazy things, especially if you mix it with a drive to go the whole mile lose or win. If you were to ask me, 5 or even 3 years ago if I ever imagined I would have my own perfume line, I would have laughed before answering you with a big fat “NO.” I always thought the most I’d turn out to be was a church singer, never this. Life hurled me a new normal and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
